Newquay Zoo is in Trenance Gardens, off the A3075 Edgcumbe Avenue, Newquay, Cornwall. Opening Hours: Easter - October 9.30am to 6.00pm every day. Winter Opening 10.00am to 5.00pm.
Zoos are for animals...
A breeding programme will save animals from extinction. Can you imagine a world without animals?
Wildlife research will preserve habitats and save animals.
By studying them we will understand how they behave and can help their survival in the wild.
Some animals have nowhere left to live in the wild - we provide sanctuary for them.
At the animal hospital you will see our work with sick and injured British Wildlife. See the Hedgehogs recovering. Ask the nurse about their progress.
...and Zoos are for People
Come and see the Lion den, with Ronnie (above) trying to strut his stuff , while Lizzie puts him in his place. See the Penguins (above) at feeding time, while they race through the pool to catch their meal. See the Puma's (above) climbaround in the hope to ambush the Game Keeper, as he brings their food.
Newquay Zoo has a wealth of beautiful wildlife for you and your family to admire and enjoy, with adventure activities for the children and children at heart, and has a lovely cafeteria and barbeque facilities which add up to a fantastic day out for the whole family. With a precious world of animals to discover this has to be a highlight of any holiday or simply a day out to treasure!
